So the kids woke us up this morning all excited about the fort they made and how we just had to come and see it. So this is what we found in the living room:
Normally this kind of mess would put me over the edge, but you know, Jeff coming home and telling me he has cancer has sort of changed my perspective - who the heck cares!! Right. I could clean this up in about 5 minutes if I really wanted to so "Let them be little!"
You are such an awesome mom! Just think how much you will miss the mess in a few years :)
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome, Daniel, Natilie and Justin do this samething, and normally I wigg out because our living room is so small and it looks like such a big mess, but I do need to just let it go sometimes and let them be kids...they love forts! I am sorry about your families trials right now, it does give you a different way of looking at thigs, you are in our prayers and we love you!
ReplyDeleteAngie: They keep telling me I will miss it, but sometimes I wonder. I mean, I don't miss diapers or middle of the night feedings ;)
ReplyDeleteSO TRUE!!!! Who cares. Let them enjoy it...and you can go ahead and laugh and enjoy it with them. :) You guys are in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO impressed that creativity lives! Not enough of the kind of "fun" we did when we were little. Even you made forts in the living room! love ya all
ReplyDeleteI tolerated forts and things as well -- sometimes for days at a time -- as the children had such a burst of creative play any time they set one up!
